as its new Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO). Bringing over two decades of
HR leadership experience, Rao moves from Flipkart, where she was Director of
HR. At Tata AIG, she will oversee talent management, leadership development,
and organizational capability, playing a critical role in supporting the
insurer’s growth in India’s dynamic general insurance market. Tata AIG, a joint
venture between the Tata Group and American International Group (AIG), has been
expanding its digital offerings and insurance penetration across sectors. Rao’s
mandate will include strengthening employee engagement, embed digital-first HR
practices, and align talent strategy with business transformation. With the
insurance industry experiencing rapid shifts in distribution models and
