Ohmium International has named Markus Tacke as CEO to lead global expansion, R&D, and electrolyzer scale-up, reinforcing its role in advancing the green hydrogen economy.
Ohmium International, a green hydrogen company, has appointed Markus Tacke as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Tacke, an industry veteran with 30+ years of leadership in the energy sector, brings extensive expertise in renewables and technology. He previously served as CEO of Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy, one of the world’s largest wind energy companies, and has held senior roles at Siemens across gas, power, and renewables.
At Ohmium, Tacke will be responsible for accelerating the company’s scale-up of proton exchange membrane (PEM) electrolyzers, critical to producing green hydrogen for industrial decarbonization. His appointment comes as Ohmium pursues global expansion, with operations spanning the U.S., Europe, Middle East, and India.
Tacke’s remit includes strengthening manufacturing capacity, advancing R&D, and expanding partnerships with governments and corporations aiming for net-zero commitments. His leadership marks a pivotal step in positioning Ohmium as a key enabler in the clean energy transition.
