Juniper Green Energy appoints Ankush Malik as CEO to drive growth across solar, wind, and hybrid projects, strengthening India’s clean energy transition.
juniper Green Energy has appointed Ankush Malik as Chief Executive Officer as the company scales its utility-scale solar, wind, and hybrid pipeline. Malik, an IIT Delhi and IIM Lucknow alumnus with 15+ years in the power sector, joined the Board as COO on April 30, 2024. As CEO, he will lead long-term growth strategy and oversee operations, BD, project development, construction, and regulatory affairs, areas critical to execution as JGE grows beyond its 1.1 GWp operational base. The company’s statement frames India’s energy transition as the backdrop: policy tailwinds, grid integration, and hybridization require rigorous delivery discipline and capital allocation. Malik brings leadership experience from Orange Renewable Power, plus early stints at ICICI Bank and Lanco Infratech, equipping him for the financing–execution interface that defines renewables today. Expect an emphasis on bankable PPAs, supply-chain resilience, and hybrid projects to optimize CUF while steadily compounding operating capacity, key to value creation as competition intensifies.
