Bata Group appoints Panos Mytaros as Global CEO

Bata Group, the global footwear giant, has appointed Panos Mytaros as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO), succeeding Sandeep Kataria. Mytaros, who has been with Bata for more than 30 years, most recently served as EVP Europe, Africa, and Latin America, leading strategy and operations across diverse markets.

His elevation comes as Bata seeks to accelerate global transformation, strengthen digital capabilities, and expand in emerging markets. Mytaros is recognized for his operational acumen, deep knowledge of retail, and ability to drive turnaround strategies.

As CEO, he will focus on supply chain modernization, digital consumer engagement, and sustainability initiatives, while preserving Bata’s brand heritage. His appointment marks continuity and confidence in homegrown leadership within the Group.
