Light-weight server-based solution for batch conversions of CAD data.

CAD Exchanger CLI supports conversion of 25+ CAD file formats, incl. SOLIDWORK, CATIA, STEP, JT, Parasolid, Rhino 3D, and have the following major features:

3D formats reading & writing: assemblies & parts, B-Rep & meshes, meta-data, colors, materials, textures.
Thumbnail generation: from thumbnails to Full HD, shading & wireframe display modes, user-defined camera position, PNG, BMP, or JPEG.
Flexible settings: conversion, mesh granularity, measurement units, detailed .ini-format setting file, shareable between multiple users.

Import and Export

Exchange data in 30+ supported 3D CAD and BIM formats, preserving every bit of content: structure, geometry, metadata and appearances. Import data from proprietary formats such as SOLIDWORKS, CATIA, NX and Creo without expensive CAD software. Export data to STEP, JT, glTF, FBX and other 3D and CAD formats. Enjoy blazing fast conversions thanks to intelligent parallel processing.

Thumbnails and screenshots generation

Take screenshots of models in any size and resolution. Generate thumbnails with transparent background to serve as previews for your users. Customize model appearance through a variety of options - viewing angle, background color, projection type and display mode. Save resulting images to standard formats, such as PNG, JPEG or GIF.

Scriptable and tunable

Leverage the tool for batch processing of data using your shell scripting language or any scripting language of choice. Control the conversion process by tweaking settings, such as measurement units, format-specific options and meshing granularity. Easily share useful presets between conversion nodes thanks to the settings' straightforward INI format.
